Valley Volunteer Fire Department

The Valley Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1958 by a group of concerned citizens in Pleasant Valley. The 1stfire station was located on airport road in Pleasant Valley. In 1961, a permanent structure was built at the current location on Pleasant Valley Road. The department has been staffed by volunteers since its inception in 1958.

The department’s service area covers interstate 79 from the Harrison County line to the East Park Exit, US Route 250 from the Fairmont City Limit to the TaylorCounty line, all areas within the corporate limits of the City of Pleasant Valley and the Town of WhiteHall, and unincorporated areas surrounding those municipalities.


Our current fleet consists of 4 class A Fire Engines, 95’ Aerial Ladder Truck, 3 Utility Vehicle’s and a Haz-Mat Trailer.


Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Department established a station in November 2019 at the White Hall Public Safety Building to better serve the community with quicker response time.
